DART Connect provides a convenient transportation solution for traveling around Georgetown and Millsboro in Sussex County, Delaware. This new on-demand microtransit service offered by DART First State eliminates the constraints of fixed bus schedules, ensuring shorter wait times for passengers.

On-demand means that you can request a ride as needed, bypassing traditional bus timetables. Microtransit, utilizing smaller vehicles like minibuses, facilitates shared rides among passengers heading in similar directions. Unlike regular bus services, microtransit routes are adaptable, allowing for swift transportation to various destinations while adhering to social distancing protocols.

Users can access DART Connect through the app or by calling 1-800-652-DART (3278), Option 3, to arrange pickups or drop-offs anywhere within Georgetown or Millsboro. A sophisticated algorithm matches passengers with nearby vehicles.

To commence your journey, download the app, register with basic details, specify your location and destination, select your ride preference, and proceed with the booking and payment process. Those preferring phone reservations can provide the same information to receive detailed guidance from a representative.

DART Connect is staffed by the same experienced drivers responsible for DART Flex Routes 901 and 902. The service maintains a flat rate of $2 per ride, payable via DART Connect, DART Pass, or cash (exact fare only).

Estimated wait times for DART Connect trips typically range from 5 to 15 minutes, notably shorter than standard bus services. Real-time vehicle tracking is available through the app to enhance passenger convenience.

Individuals requiring wheelchair-accessible vehicles are encouraged to highlight this necessity in their DART Connect profile or inform the customer service representative during booking.
